Vibrations, extreme temperatures, oil vapour or vapours from other aggressive agents – these are the difficult conditions which the sensors used in the electrical and machine-tool industry have to be able to tolerate. In addition, the strict standards imposed by the industry with a view to protecting its employees and ensuring their safety demand that a number of special parameters be taken into consideration.
In order to guarantee absolute compliance with these standards by our MP700 series, the degree of safety is determined directly during the production phase and does not therefore depend on any external factors. This series, tested individually and conforming to the EN609471 and EN60947-5 standard, has won over, among others, the world leader in automatic lathe production, TORNOS, which has decided to equip its DECO range with safety and position microswitches manufactured by Microprecision Electronics SA.

A sealed position switch, with positive opening operation, dual breaking, with direct connection by cable moulded into the housing. The degree of safety sought on a machine often depends on the reliability of a switch, especially during an emergency shutdown.
The MP700 series provides this guarantee thanks to the switch’s positive opening operation and the rigid mechanical linkage between the controller and the contact bridge causing the breaker circuit to open.
